Cheap tyres are called ditch finders for a reason.

. . . and expensive ones are pothole finders too . . . it is a dilemma

M62 East bound near to Outlane Huddersfield, just at the end of the road works is a crater about 4 to 5 feet long, & 2 feet wide on the outside lane

Ah I know that section, I'm normally in the inside lane cruising along whilst all the idiots try to race each other up the hill. Hopefully it'll catch some of them out👿

If the potholes are fixed by the lowest tender then they'll be back next spring.

It doesn't work like that. All lowest tenderers will be working to the same specification, that's not to say the designer hasn't issued a rubbish spec.
Contact your council and ask to see the specification.

A friend used to own a company filling potholes until he retired, he is my source.

Local road near me in South derbyshire has been claiming loads of vehicles, young oxo lost 2 tyres at the same time.
