I bought the wrong potato salad last week and my goodness it's vinegary. Can someone suggest a way to tone the taste down a bit? I keep trying to eat it, but I'm getting defeated.
I can't help you with the query, but, by Jupiter, I love Kartoffelnsalat 😋 with loads of Zwiebeln
How come you bought it instead of making it?
On second thoughts, maybe add a bit of balsamic vinegar, it is quite sweet, maybe it will mask the current taste.

I bought it because I don't generally have time to faff about making the stuff; actually, that's not true, but I have far more interesting things to do than faff about trying to get the mixture exactly right every week. Also I can get it from the Aldi near work which saves schlepping it back and forth.
Usually I get "Swabian" potato salad which is milder and has onions, but this time I must have picked up the wrong type. I've noticed before that food from northern Germany tends to be sharper than the south, and I've spent over half my life here; maybe I'm getting stuck in my ways.
