Such a ripoff often, for instance, you can buy 500g of Quaker oats for a pound or go into Waitrose (!) and get 1kg for £1.99 (or 2kg for £3.50). And it's probably even cheaper at other stores. And the home brand is even cheaper again.
The big brands aren't daft, they adjust their package sizes appropriately. My FWDTSMFAWKMCFB* had to try and convince a customer that their "x for the price of y" promotion was indeed valid but you get less product in the bargain shops than in the supermarket, but they really didn't seem to understand. Eventually, to preserve brand image, they simply withdrew their products from the bargain shops.

In the case of Al drinks bottles, I have a cheapo one I got for doing a sportive or something, and a genuine Sigg bottle. The Sigg is much better and I can chuck it all over the place without fear of leakage, but the seal on the cheapo is rubbish and I have to keep it more or less upright. You really do get what you pay for.

I've seen those bottles in there and I've got a few now full of 5p coins. Also I bought a nice small tin of coffee for £2 of which I used at work for the first time today.

Those bottles are good - the top doesn't leak, they take a knock, I have a few. They're the same as ones costing a fiver with a mini carbiner (that you can pick up for 50p)

I'm also keen on their "dirty bike" - it's not the most powerful cleaner but good for a general wash down. Then the trigger bottle is reusable for my own homebrewed bike cleaners and degreasers (usually involving flash concentrate and turps)

Hi Jack.
It seems to fit quite well in my bottle cage. The cage though is of a wire type were it's tensioned to hold the bottle (which is slightly smaller that a standard sized bottle )
I only replaced my old bottle, because it was starting to look a bit tatty and this new one really looks very nice.
A lot of stuff in poundland really is cheap and nasty, but they do sell some products sometimes that are really good (especially for the price). Last year I bought some cycling glasses and they were very good. Unfortunately I managed to lose them earlier this year. I also buy my Vape liquid from there for my E cigarette. Other places usually sell it for around £4 were I live, so it's quite a saving .
This year I've also planted my garden with there cheap plant bulbs and have had some lovely flowers come through. I would of paid a small fortune for them if I would of got them from a garden centre.
When your living by yourself with only one income money is often a little tight ,so looking out for the bargains can make a difference some weeks. I just thought it may of been of some use to anybody here , if like me they need to watch the penny's but still have a quality product.
Just last year I bought the moon nebula lights that were rebranded as bike mate lights from Aldi. The moon ones can sell as much as £80 for the pair but Aldi were selling them for around for around £26 for the pair. There was no way I could of justified spending £80 and was very greatful that a member here had mentioned the ones in Aldi.
