Power tools - most useful items?

I got one of these not long ago to replace an older 12v Makita twin-set which didn't have the oomph in the hammer drill to be effective.

It's been very useful. I bought a separate DeWalt impact driver for £50 which uses the same batteries, which has been extremely useful as well.

We have those at our men's shed and abused them no end!!

We got an impact driver too s/h.

Just a bit heavy for older folk so we got two 10.8v (12v nominally ) drills from Wickes.

Are they?
If it says 18V it's for Europe/UK markets. If it says 20V, it's for USAnia. Something about them not being allowed to refer to the peak battery voltage in their marketing mumbo jumbo as it is misleading. They have to use the nominal voltage instead. The tools and batteries are the same.

I read somewhere that in the US they use 20V becasue it sounds more powerful (even though it isn't), and rather than having 2 markets for 20v and 18v products then EU/UK was going to go the same way as the US. And then saw a lot of sales on the 18v batteries and bare units, so I thought it was true. It may not be though.

I’ve got a fair collection of Dewalt cordless stuff now . Impact driver is a must ! Also got another coming as it was free when you bought a cordless garden tool ! Only thing I don’t have is the Dewalt cordless router . Aldi one suffices for now I guess .
