How long did they make alu bikes? The pro bikes seemed to go from steel (Indurain era) to carbon (Team $ky) so quickly.
What year? Carbon Angliru? I had an Izoard. That was such a lovely frame.

No, aluminium with loads of corrosion patches. I paid £50 for the complete bike so I was quite happy. I have a thread about it.
I'll check it out.
Link please.
I think I had one of those in Red and White in the late 1990’s I ride for a vets racing team called Trex based in Hull and we were given one of those on loan with the option you could buy it at the end of season, which I did. I had some decent results on it.
I think a 2k lacquer is the answer to home resprays for the tough coat, but it's nasty stuff.
This was the Pinarello from years ago. I'm pretty sure it was @Dan Lotus and I on BR (?) that did a thread on riveting the SKS race blade mudguards...

I was dreaming if I thought I could reproduce that paint job. In fact, i'm beginning to think it was a limited edition because I cannot find it any where else.

What is nasty about it?
I am thinking of a handjobrespray on an old Harry Hall frame but don't want the soft finish of normal spray cans.

2k. Simples (sort of).
