Three-year-old granddaughter watching the Tour of Ireland on TV comes out with 'That man's showing his bottom, but he's going very fast'. Captured the essence of professional road racing in my view.

My four year old daughter walked into my bedroom as I was kitting up for a ride on Saturday morning and said, "I know you're going out on your bike Daddy, because you have stupid trousers on." She was referring of course to bib shorts, which in our house will now be known forever more as 'stupid trousers'.

Bren I get the same from my 2 yrold - you've got your silly clothes on. Wait til they're old enough to be mortified.

Wait until they're teenagers and you forget to change after a friday night club run and pick them up from a nightclub - can you imagine the extreme embarassment??? ;):sad::blush:

(This has not happened to me BTW!)

A friend of mine had just purchased his first pair of bib-shorts.
He asked me, "Do you wear these over your jersey?"
The reply "ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, NO!!!!!!!!!"
