Sneaky way to get you locked into a purchase for something that’s not in stock, hoping you won’t just go elsewhere I think.

oh i know it has and it annoys me more now , dont know why , it just does , i see no need for the ...pre.... you are ordering something simple as that , well to me it is.

From almost exactly one year ago.

So, I don't have a problem with pre-order, I've always thought of it as a sort of shorthand for pre-release order where I've ordered records prior to their release for instance. Something to consider going forward.

Even worse is pre ordering a digital download not like they will all copies get sold out on publication date.

It is good for the sellers cashflow. Bad luck if they go out of business before your goods are available.

I fear some folk see pre-ordering some stuff as a status thing.
Certain bits of tech etc.
