I did used to run Marathon Plus but they were just to hard going for me.

I used to run mine at their suggested max psi and found it unpleasant. Now I run them about 45/50 psi and they're surprisingly plush......I still wouldn't say they're exactly fast, but they don't feel as sluggish.
But I don't care about speed on a commuting bike.

......I've just replaced its original rear Marathon plus, after eight years and no unplanned deflation events.
Not bad, eh?
I had a mountain bike that did not get a flat tire in the 15 years I had it. I used it a lot when I first got it, left it alone for a long time, then started using it again. When it finally got a flat tire, I just bought a new bike.

I don't think Marathon Plus tyres were designed to be fast But they are bombproof. Well until you give them to Jannie. She managed to puncture her rear tyre 2 weeks after I fitted it. Why is it she can never puncture a front tyre?
