Prepping for food shortages

No sardines in our Aldi yesterday or Co-op today. I have enough to last me a while anyway.

I've got loads too, but as they are near the tuna tins in spring water that I buy regularly for Alfie the cat, I notice if there are empty spaces on the shelves.
Maybe the sardines shortage is, for some reason, mainly in England?
I'll investigate more shops, report back!

Aldi is in Annan & Co-op in Langholm.

Goodness knows what's going on with the sardines and chickpeas in Tesco. Plenty of own brand tuna in there (the kind I usually buy), but oddly, no branded stuff.

B&M had plenty of sardines.

No sardines in Gretna Co-op.

And apparently there's been a recall on Ready Brek so there's a shortage of that. The lady who told me is having to have Rice Krispies for breakfast as she's saving her unadulterated box of Ready Brek for her dog. He doesn't like Rice Krispies Some people certainly put their pets first.

I currently have a few tins of sardines on tomorrow's delivery, not been in stock for a few weeks, maybe a I should order ~12?
