I went for the Rudy Project RX
The advantage of these clip in styles is that you can still change lenses to suit visibilty and lighting, making them more versatile

Equally you can change the prescription of the inserts without changing the glasses

Finally if your outer lens gets scratched or damaged by debris it is cheaper to replce than a prescription lens

Overall I find this cheaper in the long run and extends usability. Wearing yellow lenses at night, red in cloudy days and black in bright sunlight is what I wanted to do

Some people find the dual lens steams up, but I have not really had a problem with that

+1 I've had a pair of specialized Helix with an RX insert for around 5 years now, easy to change lenses, I have photothingy and clear, and also to change prescription

A bit of misting if I stop so the answer is to keep riding:thumbsup:

I've used RX inserts for years. My current RX inserts fit nicely into Choakleys.

Genuine Oakleys are so expensive for a reason, when you compare the true optical properties they are actually good value for money. Its the wide angle view that makes them standout for me, well that and the fact that you can lick them clean...

but isnt the oakley bit the frame and not the lens? that is to say the optical properties are a function of the glass not the frame. if they can be frame related then that would be to do with the frame shape which would be a function of that specific design which is, yes, oakley, but doesnt imply that any other oakley frame shape design will do anything that a n other frame might.

I got my Oakleys back from my optician a few days ago. They are not wrapped so tight that I could not use the micro mirror and that made me very happy. The wide angle view is nice with them. These are not Oakley lens but are very good quality. They are also just a light tint rather than photocromic lens but are 100 percent UV protection. I had to do a little shopping but I got these for $231.00 after shipping and tax for everything. My first prescription riding glasses and I am happy with them. Now I can see where I am going.

I got them from a US supplier. I don't know if they ship overseas or not. I got them from www.6pm.com . I just looked there and they are back up to $119, I got them for 69. On the Oakley USA site they also have a section that I did not see on the UK site. It is called the Oakley vault. They offer discounts on a lot of models but not normally the latest and greatest but some nice ones come up there a lot. If you see something you like on there it is best not to wait long before you buy, a lot of them don't stay on there long. I guess they might be less expensive over here. I doubt if Oakley USA would ship to UK since there is a UK division.

I checked 6pm to see if they ship outside the US and this is what the site says:
Q:
Do you ship to addresses outside the United States?
A:
At this time orders may only be shipped to US States and Territories. Please keep in mind that using third-party shipping services is at your own risk.

I am not sure what that means but it looks like no.

may i ask how much you paid with prescription lenses?

It's all priced on Optilabs website, but to save you time, approx £170 for a pair of Single vision, photochromic, anti-mist, anti-scratch, prescription lenses.
And they are worth every penny.
