Talking of pints, how many pubs still serve ale in a 'dimple' mug ?

. . . I've not seen one in a pub, for ages. (Though I use one at home)

They've suddenly come back in hereabouts (London). After maybe 20 years with none in sight, most pubs round here now offer them.

I got served in a "dimple mug" (isn't it called a jug in beer glass parlance or did I make that up?) is London just before Xmas. Currently having a large bottle of La Rue of approx 80pence in Hanoi.

The Fox and Anchor in Farringdon serves beer in dimple pots...cheapest beer I can remember was when I started playing cricket. 1/10d for a pint of Watneys draught. Not Red Barrel or anything posh!
There was always this too:

Mmmmm heaven. Ideal for hiding in the oven at parties. Goodness, I've drunk some rubbish in my lifetime!
The Euston Flyer, opposite St Pancras is pretty expensive £4.60 or so...

£1.82 ....pint bitter (not wherspoons) samuel smiths
Our local Sam Smiths charge £1.94 for a pint of their bitter. The first time I went in, I bought a pint and a half and I assumed they hadn't charged me for the half, it was so cheap.

The OP rules this comment is crap!
Then the OP should have been more specific in the thread title:tongue::thumbsup:
I don't touch the stuff (beer that it, quite like milk..), so no idea if £4 a pint is good, bad or indifferent. Last time I was in a pub they wanted over £2 for a pint of Coke..
