I've been offered (by a friend) 8 legs of venison for £50. Any idea if this is too dear??

Naah, eight legs would have to be four deer

More seriously, depends on how they're cut and how much they weigh. Leg of venison is rather tough compared with haunch/saddle, so beware of it needing long, slow cooking.

On the face of it, sounds like a good price if they're not tiny little things.

eh, that were a joke I think Monsieur Cab. 8 legs = 2 deer.

Yeah, but theres nowt much on the front legs and they're not usually referred to as legs, so it would have to be four deer...

(retreats back inside shell of correct butchering terminology)

Unless they are the front legs of Muntjac or Roe, that sounds like a good deal. The advice about weight and toughness is good. Check that the meat is tagged.

err, it was a joke folk.

As Tete stated 8 legs = 2 deer

Anamically correct, but not correct from a butchering point of view which is why I made a counter-joke but I'll shut up now
