Which is a 4.8 Litre BMW X5 (one of those awful "sports" 4x4s like the Range Rover Sport or the Porsche Cayenne - which has never seen a speck of mud in its life), and it had the number plate ...

My favourite one was on a BMW X5 I was queueing behind. M4NLY. How insecure would you need to be to put that on your car?

On the other hand I saw a Mark IX Jaguar with CLA 551C which I thought was clever.

Theres a rolls royce around my way with the reg BBC1. I believe the guy is the owner of a local garage.

Not sure though...I thought it had 180 in it.Have to recheck in a couple of weeks and I've seen it a million times.

You could be right. I read in an article about him that he had CUE 1 but journalists rarely double check the details of things like this.

My Mrs has one on our car and I've no great issue with people putting their initials or football club initials on cars each to their own but having one that describes the make of the car on the car is incredibly sad

I've seen a few BMW, M3RC combo's

I always enjoy the additional sadness of a BMW with a personalised BNW or BMV plate.

it makes me think that they're not quite good enough to be completely inadequate.
