Protection software recommendations?

Personally, and I presume we're talking about a PC, I've always used Norton Internet Security (but not Norton 360 - you don't need the extra bloat!).

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea though so you could also look at AVG, McAfee, and ESET (which I understand comes highly rated).

I'm sure a few other people can chip-in with recommendations too. :thumbsup:

Avast and Comodo Internet Security are two really good (free) pieces of antivirus and firewall software.

Aye, sound advice. MS Security Essentials is my goto for most folks.

ESET Nod32/Smart Security is what I use for businesses or people who don't trust free software :biggrin:

Norton & Macafee are speed sapping bloatware IME. AVG used to be good but has gone the same way. Avast is my current favourite.
