At that price and doing discs anyway why the hell didn't they go full hydro? ID9 managed it at a fifth of the price. Even though they're "cheap" Tektro, the brakes are fabulous.

Errr they are full hydro

Yup - not sure how you missed that they are full hydraulic. Can't argue with the price comment though.

OK fair enough. I'd probably read they were hydraulic before but forgot. Just going off @Gunk's comment. Either way he was disappointed with them.

So instead I bought another regular Brompton today, Brand new 6 speed with flat bars, comes with a rack which I’ll remove but it’ll go nicely with with my 2011 M3L

Sell, get a green one.
I said get a green one.

And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,

It is a widely acknowledged truth that proprietors of Racing Green Bromptons are the epitome of discernment and erudition.

Still think it should have been designed around 18 - 355 tires.

Well I tried this over the weekend. I am 6ft and a 31.5 inside leg.

The medium felt exactly like a C line Brompton, slightly cramped and everything a bit more tucked in. If I was to get this I would definitely rotate the bars up to get some more height and reach, even fit a riser bar.

The large felt, well large, but I could move around a lot more and with the Brompton bars angled back its just slightly, too big. I would want the bars about 5mm more back to be perfect.

However, if you ride it like a normal bike, as opposed to sit back and enjoy the scenery, the large allows a bit more weight over the front.

Neither size is really right for me, but the large requires less tweaking and doesn't feel small, but like a proper bike.

I rode the cobbles in Covent Garden and could not feel them, its just a blast to ride.
