Vidzone is always updating something or other too, it's comical.

Not heard many complaints about PS3 slim noise issues. If they think that's bad they should have heard the original!

This week it's been System update, The Playstation shop thing update and something else which I went into and cancelled !

Has Vidzone improved the search engine yet ?

No they haven't but it seems slightly quicker sometimes. If you search by song, that still majorly screws it up.

Just cycled down the road to Currys - picked up the 120gb new ps3 and Tiger Woods 2010 for £250... I'll worry about cashflow when I'm 6 foot under

I am sooo weak willed!;)

So far I've only used it on composite (HDMI cable arrived today so will get the full experience tonight!)

WOW - what a difference the HDMI cable makes. ;)

Downloaded my first bit of Blu-ray content (movie previews from the PSN shop) and I'm very impressed. I've only really managed to catch odd glimpses in shops previously, and the new telly does Full HD whereas the previous one was just HD ready.

I've been getting to grips with LittleBigPlanet; very inventive and great fun - especially the online co-op mode - and despite the number of controller functions the little one (6 yo) seems to be able to grasp it quite well (both physically and mentally).

Can anyone recommend any good games?

Cheers,
Shaun

Unfortunately you've bought your PS3 at the wrong time for blu-rays. The retailers have hiked the prices of blu-ray at the end of the summer. There are far fewer silly offers going round that were for about 9 months before that.

Games on the PS3 for kids. Harry Potter OOTP is actually fairly cool on PS3 and XBOX 360. The Simpsons game isn't too bad either. The Lego trilogy of games (they normally fluctuate in price from very cheap and go back up). Sega Mega Collection.

Well, I've just played my first round on TW2010 and was quite impressed - very in depth stuff compared to previous versions. Just about to have a go on Brothers in Arms - Hells Highway now...

I'm not sure any sane person is going to be buying a PS3 or XBOX 360 from new in autumn 2010, although who knows, maybe people will with things like Natal about to launch.

COD4 and WAW were essentially the same game engine but I prefer the look & feel of the WW2 games. COD2 was the best multiplayer FPS ever I think... Spent too much time getting good at that though

Yep, you're right. Which is why I was a bit enjoyed at WAW as the AI imo was worse in WAW then it was in COD4 and the multiplayer was glitched.

Best FPS ever? GoldenEye on the N64:angry::thumbsup:

Touche! Proximity mines in the Facility anyone... or how about snipers in the Water Caverns :sad:

Nice one SD.

Let me know how the PS3 goes. My flatmate moves out in a couple of months and takes his PS3 back to NZ, so I may need to buy one.

I've always been a big PS fan, so as long as they still make games for them, I will prob always own one.

Their customer service has always been very good in my experiences with them as well.
