I've sup'ed-up my PC [overclocked CPU & GFX Card] specifically for COD4, and can't imagine using anything other than a mouse for aiming. It's so quick and accurate.

On that basis I'm not inclined to invest in COD for my PS3, but may - just out of interest - hire it from the local vid shop just to see what it's like.

I've ordered Wall-E for the little one as reviews say it's a fairly easy game to access/play, and as is typical for a 6yo she has about a 3 second fuse before she complains she can't do something!! Kids eh!

I tell you what I do like though - downloading playable demo's, then activating them into full games if you like them. Very neat.

Cheers,
Shaun

Oooh, me sir, me sir. I have.

How does one cheat on that, btw??

You'll have a long wait then, as I don't think I'll ever finish it.

I gave up when I realised that it was almost exactly the same as GT3

Will GT5 include car damage? As much as I like driving into a wall at 100+mph and carrying on, it was the one thing that was missing.

I was going to buy GTA IV also have the option of borrowing it from a mate who's completed it (he claims)... surely worth a punt at 25 quid?

You should get it cheaper than that on any format

I've got GTAIV if you want to borrow it.

They are very good games, and I bought this game even though I don't own the console

The main game isn't that hard to complete, it's all the side missions which take the time. Saying that, in GTAIV those missions are mostly collecting things.

Still worth buying, but the next one should be the dogs.

Cheers for the offer Luke - was on the phone to my mate who I'm seeing at the weekend and he's going to give it to me on a long-term lend ;)

Also took a trip to ASDA this afternoon and got a copy of Fight Night 4!

Because I just had to have it

My flatmate owns a PS3 which I sometimes get to use. Usually when I have a day off, or if I stay up really late, but for GTA games it's always worth the lack of sleep.

I have a PS3. I really like it. I have the old 40GB version. To be honest I've never noticed any noise from it, but I could do with eventually increasing the hard drive (an advantage the PS3 has over the XBox I believe - they take standard laptop hard drives).

I used to have the PS2 and loved GTA and Grand Turismo on it, so naturally my first purchases were GTA IV and GT5 Prologue. With a HDMI cable on a HD TV it's the dogs do das. I love Oblivion on it too (and confess that at the moment I'm really enjoying Legends of Wrestlemania - don't laugh!).

I've not tried BBC iPlayer on it, hadn't thought of that - I have a multi media PC set up downstairs too and watch the iPlayer on the PC through the TV. I'll try it on the PS3 and see how it compares.

I tend to watch all my films on it too, the HDMI DVD player is a faff as the remote control for that keeps acting like the telly remote. So rewinding things puts the TV on standby etc. Does my head in.

Oh, the only game I don't really like on it is Medal of Honour. I'm so used to it on the PC it just isn't as good on the consoles. I'm used to the keyboard & mouse combo on that I think. Also I had the Sims on the PS2 and that was rubbish too, can't beat the PC version.

I have tried a friends Xbox but having been a long term Playstation owner I just couldn't get on with the controller for some reason.

Now have a few games to try... friend lent me GTA IV (played it for a couple of hours already this morning and back to it again in a minute!) plus he picked up a copy of Fifa09 from GAME because they were selling it for a tenner  ALso lent me GT Prologue, Tomb Raider, Drakes Fortune & Quantum of Solace.
