Now have a few games to try... friend lent me GTA IV (played it for a couple of hours already this morning and back to it again in a minute!) plus he picked up a copy of Fifa09 from GAME because they were selling it for a tenner  ALso lent me GT Prologue, Tomb Raider, Drakes Fortune & Quantum of Solace.

Drakes Fortune is ace. Reminds me a bit of Broken Sword I used to play on the PC.
GT Prologue is ace too. Can't wait for the proper version!
Ghostbusters is pretty good too, but I was a Ghostbusters fan so I'm biased I think!

Hmm, different strokes for different folks I s'pose Plax... Haven't tried DF, Tomb Raider or GT Prologue yet but dont much like adventure style games myself. Looking forward to a go on Prologue though, as I like the GT games. Will get the full version when it comes out, for sure!

I hope this PS3 addiction doesn't have an effect on my cycling

Just discovered the web browser on the PS3, very intuitive to use, but takes ages to type what you want; even with predictive text.

(Then again, that could be down to all the beer I‘ve drunk tonight)

Cheers,
Shaun

Or go posh and get a Bluetooth keyboard

Does the PS3 have Bluetooth? or do you need to use a USB Bluetooth dongle with it?

Cheers,
Shaun

I have one of them mini PS3 keyboards that hook on to your controller. It's not too bad actually, unless you have fat podgy fingers that is.
I have a multi media PC hooked up to the TV in the living room too. Somebody accidentally stood on my wireless keyboard for it (*cough* Mr Plax *cough*). So now I need a new one. I am awaiting the arrival of this;
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emprex-9039URF-Wireless-Keyboard-Trackball/dp/B001M9OEQ4
Which is PS3 compatible as well, so we shall see how it fares (reminder to myself not to leave this keyboard on the floor).

I have just retrieved the PS3 from the kids, they've gone to xbox360, so I'm just trying out the multimedia stuff on it.

Have installed PS3 media server on my pc and am just exploring the picture, video and music side. Nice being able to show piccies on the TV, tadge slow though. Also the iplayer continually breaks up but that's on WiFi haven't tried a homeplug connection yet.

I have to say the DVD playback from the xbox is better than PS3, not sure if I've got something configured wrong.

Got one of those on my media box in the lounge, works a treat, to the point where we don't use the media remote anymore. All the shortcut keys are there, and the thumb mouse works great after a bit of practice.

That's good to know. I'd never heard of Emprex before but decided to just go for it. I never use my media remote either as for some reason it also changes the TV functions. If I wanted to rewind a DVD it would put the TV in standby which really annoyed me!

You must have something configured wrong, or perhaps using a scart lead? PS3 is Blueray and when used with a 1080p HD TV and HDMI cable is the dogs do-dahs so to speak.

All configured proper like, did some checkin' and furtlin'. The standard DVD playback is better on the 360 but Blueray is way better on the ps3. I'm using an HDMI cable too.

I wasn't aware that the xbox 360 had blueray or are you just being sarcastic.
