PS3 WiFi problems ??

Hello All,

I have just brought a Playstation 3 which will not connect to my wifi in fact it doesn't even see my wifi when I do a scan. I have a Adhoc network using a cable internet connection and a wifi card in the pc ( linux) it works fine with my phone and my daughters laptop anywhere in the house or garden but not the Playstation. The Playstation finds other networks but not mine ,any ideas anyone ?

Is your router a Wireless N router? If so make sure it's in broadcasting 802.11b/g too (some routers call this "mixed mode")...

PS3 does not support wireless N.

No router here just a wifi card in the pc and a cable modem ? Wifi card is b/g

OK, the modem then... be sure that's no set to 802.11n only

Check what channel the wireless is broadcasting on as some devices will only pick up 1-11 but I think g supports 1-14 or possibly 15.
