Awful, soulless places. There's plenty of pubs round here with local brews, good whisky collections, fancy imported beers, good value, decent food, entertainment and a lot of heart.
I'm just jealous mind because I'm not drinking at the moment.

You certainly do not live close to me, that is for sure. Drinks are cheaper in The Cavern than any of our locals. We there is cleaner nicer cheaper and has a far better selection than any of our locals.

I have the good fortune to live at the top of the "Vale of Ale" in Sheffield. Pub crawl of eight or ten pubs working its way down the Don Valley to Kelham Island, which is a real ale drinker's Shangri-La.
Moo Bar in Carlisle are having a Yorkshire Ale week which is proving to be a bit of a challenge as I have a bike to ride, however I found today that The Woodrow Wilson(W"spoons)have extended the bar to accommodate 8 more ales.Life just becomes more and more stressful!
