Pump suitable for road bike with CO2 and hose?

Can anyone recommend one? After puncturing during the Cheshire Cat last weekend, and finding my existing pump is a bit crap, I'd like to get one that that has both the ability to use a CO2 canister, or manual pumping if no canister. Ideally with a hose rather than a lock-on type.

Lezyne Road Drive CFH fits the bill. Never used one, but seen it in the LBS and it looked very nice. Expensive though.

I swear by this Lezyne pump, it is a top product. It is small enough to fit in a jersey pocket and the beauty of it is that it has a hose which is much better than trying to connect to the valve and quite often damaging it.

Wow, the CFH one is expensive, although spot on for my needs. Not sure the other half would like me spending that much on a pump though The pressure drive looks ok, as long as it can really get up to a decent pressure.

If you read the reviews about both of them, the claims of 120psi are somewhat optimistic, but as an owner of the pressure drive it is the best little pump I have come across. No I won't get 110psi, but I have come back after a puncture and put the track pump on and reckon it was up to around 90psi. That is more than enough to get you home. As I also said in the past there have been a couple of occasions where I have gone to pump the tyre after fixing a puncture and damaged the valve with other pumps. Touch wood never had that problem with this one and I have had it for 2 years now. Check the reviews on Wiggle.

bontrager do one as well (or at least used to)

i carry a mini pump and also an air chuck with a couple of co2 cartridges...the air chuck is tiny and takes up virtually no room at all in a saddlebag or pocket. Obviously you need to carry the cartridges too for it to be effective though

You can get the Pressure Drive for £25 or so on Ebay.

When C+ reviewed mini pumps the PD came out top and they said it would do 120psi, but (like any mini pump) it was a struggle over 100psi.

The lezyne is what i was going to recommend as well , or carry a standard mini pump and get a co2 pump that is minimal in size that you can stick in your pocket?

On another note the topeak race rocket , i have one and i managed 65 psi with it and i do not have weedy arms so i had to change my mini pump for longer rides .I carry a road morph on my commute and you can easily get your tyres up to pressure but i think it might be a bit big for what you want.

+1 for the Road Morph, it will do upto 160psi they say. I've used mine for 120psi and have now got rid of my gas pump as I can't be @rsed to carry two pumps.
+1 for it being a bit big although can frame mount it and problem solved.

Alloy drive CFH = low(er) pressure higher volume tyre pump for off roaders
Road drive CFH = high(er) pressure lower volume tyre pump for on roaders

the two ain't the same....

Thanks for all the recommendations. Went for the lezyne pressure drive in the end. I'll think about getting a separate CO2 if I struggle with it.
