Overvecht Station installs "transfer accelerator"

Now there's no excuse to miss the train at the Overvecht Station in Holland. The newly installed "transfer accelerator" allows commuters to quickly descend the station stairs and access platforms.

You'd have to wear a helmet, be strapped into something, pay, and it'd need to be staffed by two surly people who would close it if it got rain on it, and there'd have to be blocks on it for wheelchair users.

but I expect the queue to use the transfer accelarator negates any time savings achieved.

Can you imagine friday night at chucking out time as everyone runs for the last train with their west country pasty in one hand and can of stella in the other.

Just out of interest, are there any adult sized playgrounds in GB? I don't mean amusement park mechanical rides, but swings, slides and such like for grown-ups.
