Pyrenees Cycling Lodge - anyone hired their bikes?

I emailed them 2 days ago, but no reply yet. Then I remembered their web page says they're open between March and October, so perhaps they just don't read their emails at this time of year?

My question for any reader of this thread is: do their hire bikes have right lever controlling front brakes, or left lever?

I replied to your email as soon as I received in on Wednesday. Perhaps it's in your spam. I will resend it.

The brakes are set up in accordance with the laws of France. Left lever is front and right lever is back. It would be illegal in France to rent or sell a bike with the brakes the other way and would invalidate your travel insurance.
