No I don't think so. You have power steering, servo brakes, more efficient wipers, much better tyres, stopping distances with modern tyres are vastly reduced, generally, better control over your car than you did in years gone by, but by having all of that do you think you pay less attention to what's going on ?
Or better, would you like to go back to how things used to be ?

Granted Emergency Auto Braking is active rather than passive but I don't feel that a driver of a truck would be any less likely to pay attention just because it was fitted.
