Hi Newby here. I passed my car test back in 81. I used to ride a 125 with L plates years ago. Can anyone tell me if I can still ride a 125 or have the rules changed.

Rules have changed since but unsure best look at dvla webpage. It use to say on the back of your license.

The categories have changed several times in the life of my licence - you can check what exactly you are entitled to drive here

Your entitlement will be shown on the back of your photocard licence; you're looking for category A1.
From memory, I think you had to apply separately for A1 provisional entitlement and it was only valid for 2 years, to give time to pass the full bike test - or does a full car licence give automatic A1 provisional entitlement? They keep changing the rules!
Can't check my own licence because I've got a full bike licence which stays valid until your 70th birthday (to save User posting, it's actually the eve of your 70th birthday ).
