There is a reason why the pneumatic tyre has lasted more then a hundred years. Because it's successful. You are trying to re-invent the wheel and it's been tried many times before (think green tyre) with very little success.

if (and it's a big if) you could put a durable aerogel in to a tyre you would be on to a winner. The pneumatic tyre would become a specialist item.

Done, though I must echo Ianrauk above - there's a good reason why we still use pneumatic tyres.
Nothing has been made that's better, despite many attempts.
If you manage it, though, I'll have a dozen! :biggrin:
