I might buy that laptop.🤔 I only want one to do stuff I can do on my phone, but the obviously wider screen would be better for watching stuff.

Being a tight wad, I'd see it as a 'result' as the last time I bought a laptop was from Currys in September 2019, when I paid about £155 for a budget Acer one which lasted almost 6 years before conking out!! 30 odd quid less and 6 years later, suggests inflation beating deal!😎👍

Mmm, I was going to post about that? Am I 'renting' the phone? If so, surely if something goes wrong with it, Currys should fix it without me having to pay anything.

No, you aren't renting the phone, you are buying it on credit.

Mobile phone contracts normally work on the basis of an airtime fee and a device fee, where the device fee will pay off the cost of the phone over the contract period (usually 2 or 3 years nowadays).

But it means that at the end of the contract, the phone is yours.

Yes, when on renewing my Currys Samsung A10 for a Samsung A16 they told me it was mine, to either put in a drawer or chuck away. I've been using it since as my 'laptop', sat on my conked out laptop bought at the same time as my Samsung A10.

You'll get about £30 for your A10 from CEX. Probably manage £40 if you can be arsed with the hassle of doing the selling yourself on Gumtree or wherever.

Have you considered a tablet rather than a traditional laptop? Greater flexibility and generally better screens.

It's also worth pointing out that Black Friday sales are mostly bullsh!t and to be avoided.

They said yesterday in Currys that seeing as i have a mobility problem it'd be best to avoid the place this coming Friday, when their Black Friday sessions start. The assistant who told me said there was a full scale battle last year over greatly reduced in price TV's!😲 As for tablets, I think they are too small screenwise, not much bigger than a phone's screen.

Am I doing the right thing here?! I bought/ordered a coat and some corduroy trousers from my favourite outfitters Cordings on Sunday. Low and behold I looked at both items online yesterday, only to see both were now reduced by 10 percent. I'm a bit peeved as normally I'd email Cordings to ask if certain items I fancy will be reduced soon, with Cordings saying either yes or no, but with it being a Sunday obviously there wouldn't be anybody there to answer my question and I didn't want to wait till Monday to ask as the items might've sold out in my size by them. Anyway both items are now on their way to me. I'm thinking about ordering the same items again, this time with the 10 percent off, then returning the full priced items without even taking them out of the box. My thoughts are to then wait for the reduced by 10 percent items to keep them, instead of the same, but full priced items. My question is, as I'm having a bit of brain fog, if I keep the full priced items, then send the reduced ones back, making out they are the full priced ones, will I get a full price refund and not a 10 percent off refund?! Meaning would Cordings know which items were full priced and which were reduced. I think i should be OK as unless each item is marked to identify it, how would they know! By returning the reduced items, saying they are the full priced ones I'll be saving about £50, even taking the two £7 P&P payments into account. One P&P payment for the delivery of the 10 percent off reduced items. The other P&P payment for returning the full priced items. You might ask why I don't just return the full priced items as soon as they arrive, which will probably be tomorrow, and wait till the 10 percent off items arrive which will probably be on Friday or Saturday, if I order them today. Yes, I could do, but I just have to try the items when they arrive. Waiting for the 10 percent off items will be like a kid waiting for Christmas Day, meaning it takes ages to arrive!

Do cats chew? I've always fed mine tinned cat food which is mushy and doesn't need chewing. I gave my neighbour's cat a chew stick intended for a dog. It bit the end off and swallowed it, repeating the process until it was all gone.

It will probably depend on the age of the cat and the state of their teeth.

Definitely a factory as I said.

Also think how territorial they are plays a part. When I had 4 cats one would inhale anything, wasting no energy and tasting nothing and inevitably throwing most of it up.

The others watched this fiasco with much amusement at this futile attempt to assert dominance before eating theirs. And inevitably the barely digested remains, which was always lovely...
