Quickest travel to Mont Ventoux?

I have a week off work next week and want to climb Mont Ventoux. Ideally would climb on day of arrival, stay a night, and return the following day. Not sure whether train or flight is best. I'm assuming best bet is to travel to Marseille?

or as @jefmcg said you could drive it if you have a fairly economical and comfy car (not a classic or landrover or a small cramped car)

Not the greatest place to get to if you are not near London.

Marseille is your best bet at this time of year. Unless you can find a flight into Lyon. You can get a v. fast (1 hour IIRC) TGV from Lyon to Orange.

Same thing nearly happened to me on Sa Collabra in Mallorca afew weeks ago. I was on ascooter and ended up riding on a verge to miss him.

The look on his face when he realised he had overcooked it was a picture.

But of course it was my fault because cyclists never make mistakes. :0)

Dont they get snow on Ventoux?

He was coming down I was going up.

You could get the TGV direct to Avignon but I'm not sure how you would get from there to Bedoin or wherever. The TGV is wonderful.
