Ah...using the direct Eurostar? The one that's just in the summer at the moment, but will be year-round next year?
I'd forgotten about that, as it's not really figured into eother of my trips.

If you can twin up, I'd recommend using Veloventoux.com and get Craig to pick you up from the airport. Not the cheapest way perhaps but a great experience.

Well, I can vouch for the changeable weather at least. Just ridden from Forcalquier to Apt, and I've gone from freezing mist to 14 degrees and sunny.

The road from Sault has been resurfaced, the top of Ventoux is blocked by snow, and Chalet Reynard is closed. DAMHIKT.

Same thing nearly happened to me on Sa Collabra in Mallorca afew weeks ago. I was on ascooter and ended up riding on a verge to miss him.

The look on his face when he realised he had overcooked it was a picture.

But of course it was my fault because cyclists never make mistakes. :0)

Dont they get snow on Ventoux?
They certainly do get snow on Mont Ventoux, as evidenced by the red and white poles which mark the location of the road. The wind also blows at +50mph for an average 240 days per year. I guess it is important to pick your time to attempt Ventoux!

...there was a tough climb nearby Apt up to Saignon which was part of the Luberon cycleway...
I've been doing the Luberon cycleway. Did it anticlockwise as far as Apt, then went north to Sault. Did the Gorges de Nesque today, which should be on anyone's to-do list if they're round these parts.
