Rack and pannier

I have this rack and this pannier which I use on my hybrid for commuting. Bought with ruggedness in mind.

If I want to do 2 night tour (I can travel light) on my road back are these suitable or should I buy lighter?

should be fine if your road bike can take a pannier rack. the rack itself is suitable for 700c wheels so no problem there, you just need the brake bosses and appropriate holes around the rear skewer area - forgotten what they are called, tired and dyslexic, they don't mix.

Pannier looks fine as well.

Forget lightness (there's not that much any good that is lighter than those) have you got room for what you need.

If you haven't then you need too much
I do 2 night tours with just one pannier & I get a pair of size 12s in there too

LOL just discussing this in a PM. Used to love camping as a kid, but just cant do it nowadays, so my touring always consists of hotels/B&Bs

Premier Inn are very cycle friendly, stayed in a few with my bike & recently 7 of us stayed over at Workington all with bikes in the rooms, no problem
