What do you guys think about this bike? I am looking at getting one what do you think if I can get a new one for 470? It has carbon forks and has tiagra throughout.

Didn't you just buy a new bike?

310. But that is what I thought. It is a shame to get rid but it was really hurting my back.

Wrong year, completely different spec.

Fair enough. Changing stem is usually a good way to go - didn't you say you are 6ft and it's a 56cm, surprised too big, was old bike quite small?

My old bike was a 56 the allez was a 58. Felt uncomfortable after around 8/9 miles. I didn't think 2cm would make that much of a difference. I road a 60 giant for a while, that was WAY to big.

Ah 58cm is quite big - Specialized say 6ft-6ft3 for the 58cm, is your height in your legs or body.
The Allez is an aggressive geometry which may also explain the discomfort.
Can you get a decent testride on the Raleigh?

It would be from wiggle so no. I am also looking at a defy 3 2012.

Can't spell, Can't Punctuate....Sue Me
i would go with the defy 3 - more of a relaxed geometry over the raleigh airlite

I think they got bought by Far Eastern Venture Capitalists a few years back, no longer any ties to Nottingham as far as I know...meant to make decent bikes given the cost
