Raleigh USA seems to have nice bikes than Raleigh UK.

Just browsing the Raleigh USA website.

Their hybrid bikes seem much nicer/prettier than their UK equivalents, and disc brakes seem to be more common.

This seems a bit odd as Trek, Specialised, Giant etc, all seem to offer the same bikes UK/USA. Do you know why Raleigh do this?

And the Road bikes.......

They may be bringing them over here - there was an interview with the MD of Raleigh UK in either CW or C+ recently, and he had a row of the road bikes behind him......

I'm fairly sure it's a different company. Back in the day Tomac had some lovely raleigh XC bikes (as did dave baker etc) but they were pretty different.

Ah - the Avanti Road Range is there now - Team - £2,500 with Dura Ace - not bad...
