Looks a good site to me , i wouldn't worry to much about mods , the worse that can happen is you get banned , its hardly the end of the world , carry on as you always have rise above them.

The power has probably gone to there head/heads

There are a few mods on here that are complete self-gratification artists, too power crazy.

He's the Guvnor of this manor, so (no offence dude) if you don't like his rules, then the door's the oblong wooden thing in the corner.

It is indeed and I have told the Guv I accept his rules. I've also indicated that I'm unlikely to create as much free content, under such limiting dictats.

CP, I don't think anyone 'really' believes that admin can't impose the rules when necessary, as is his right, but does someone really have to be shown the door for speaking their mind about it, ffs i've seen far worse on here.

We all create free content that's the point. You also said in a previous thread that you linked your sight to keep up the visitor numbers to satisfy sponsors. So what I thought was a labour of love, is in fact generating....what?, income, openings, gear. Whichever it is, one thing this site has always stepped on quickly is spamming, are you not spamming in a similiar way.

I also find it pretty distasteful that you should choose to disuss a private matter in the open of the forum. Clearly you've done this to drum up some sympathy. Maybe it would be better if you told the whole truth.

I will now be reporting this thread and hope it's locked and deleted as it rightly should be.

In the meantime I hope you stick around and I wish you a good recovery but at least have the decency to act with good grace whilst you're here.

Nice site Randochap.

I like the fixing a flat tyre tutorial and video. We had a new guy out with us today who had a flat. As he got his pristine pump and tyre levers from his back pocket he confessed to having no idea what to do with them . I changed the tube for him but made him do all the hard work of trying to get 100 psi in to the tube using a mini pump .

I have sent him the link so he can do it himself next time!

BTW, struggling to see why Admin would have an issue with your site .

I personally think this should be discussed in open? Why not? Shouldnt we, the people who post on here, have a right to decide on things just as much as the mods?
We could all get up and leave, could do. But dont. No-where else to go, but, wasnt that the same thought about the old C+ site? Then we came onto here, and took over, after it was stupidly quiet?

That's a complete misrepresentation of what I said. I said I was unrepentantly supportive of my sponsors' products. Since they are Canadian, links here would be of little benefit.

As for drumming up sympathy, why not talk to any (potential) friends on this issue? Or is that another rule -- only discuss issues unrelated to the forum?

That is a very brief version. Clearly Rando linking to his site is not just about helping people. It always struck me as odd that no matter what question people asked, Rando linked to his site, which was good but hardly Sheldon Brown standard. Now we know why, Rando is serving himself not us.
