Cycle Crazy
Well i was cycling as i normally do. Staying out the door zone minding my own business when......

What can i say. My reaction didn't help but i felt it was called for.(slow mo shows why, you can see the blob of his hand)
no idea why he was so angry. His driving was fine aswell. I was expecting a punishment pass after i passed him but nothing. Fine driving just a bad attitude!

Very odd. Not that he got out and started having a go, but the fact that he overtook you after with enough space.

He might have just needed someone to shout at to relieve some stress.

It's just one of those things, he'd obviously got himself worked up and you giving the finger sent him over the edge, glad it didn't escalate though.

I had a similar incident a couple of years ago and reacted pretty much as you did. But when the guy pulled up and got out of his car I got off my bike to meet him. He had a quick change of heart got back in and drove off, so I carried on cycling in a different direction. I'm pootling my way up a long hill and next thing I get a punishment pass from him. Then he must have turned round at the roundabout at the top of the hill and came back down. This time he swerved onto my side of the road to give me a head on punishment pass.

It must be being in the car or something, as there was clearly no way he was prepared to confront me out of it. But it made me question my initial reaction as it hadn't crossed my mind someone would actually 'go for me' in a car like that. Being twice his size, and very angry, wouldn't have been much use to me if he'd misjudged his punishment passes, or just plain seen red and mown me down.

Perhaps he wasn't concentrating first time round.

Exactly the same happened to me once. BMW driver got all arsey that I filtered to the front of him to the ASL. He started beeping his horn. I just gave him a shrug of the shoulders. He got more irate, wound down his window and started bleating. I told him to stfu. So this got him really incensed and he got out of his car. I pre-empted this by getting off my bike, placing it against the railings and getting in this fekkers face. He soon realised that I was a bit bigger and a lot more angrier looking then he was. I told him to stfu again and get back in the car unless he wanted a broken nose for his trouble. By this time lights where green and others were beeping. Of course he gave me the obligatory punishment pass after.

What he shouted didnt make sense.
He says "f*cking move out the way you daft C**T. Theres more room than you, you f**king a**ehole
The slow mo was ment to show him put his finger up to me. However the camera long range eye sight is not too good so it just shows his hand.

In this case i think he was just having a bad day and i was at the end of it. His driving was fine. I had no interest in talking to this fellow(not in the state he was in aswell). It seemed he was wound up about something but it was not me.

I think that guy could benefit from riding a bike so he could get that unnecessary frustration out ;)

wasnt just the door zone, there was a bloke who was ready to set off...

barmy, mind you, he certainly looked speeding, so maybe he'd have screamed the same at someone doing the legal limit.

its a 20 zone as far as i know of. I was doing 17+ at the time so... PS i only speed on downhill segments. Dont see the points on flats.
I have no idea why this guy had a go. iI was not like he couldn't get passed.
Confused me this one.
He just needs to find a dark room and have some alone time.

had a look on google maps to check im right. However can find one road sign. Ive always though its 20. I could be wrong it could be 30. However i never seen cars do over what i think is 30 in regards to my speed. When im going 20+ sometimes when i work hard on this part i never get any bother when i hold primary for the whole stretch so im led to think its 20(aka nothing like that or any overtaking ps the road is huge minus parked cars).
