And a side note to the above. The Chicago Cubs have made good money at baseball by not winning a World Series for more than 100 years, due to the curse of the goat. The Cubs learned, long ago, that by making your team a part of peoples' cultural life, you do not need to spend a great deal of money on all this game winning nonsense. This may be your way forward re Glasgow. A thrifty Scottish solution.

They tried that in the early 80s in Glasgow and the average crowds were less than half of what they are today , the fans simply don't go in the same numbers if they are not winning something.

Good News for Rangers creditors as the BDO has won £24 million back from Craig Whtyes lawyers , add to this the fact that the EBTs were judged to be legal ( but totally unethical ) then seems that Rangers creditors should get a fair chunk of what they are owed back .

Rangers, their fans held the power when they went "pop", it's a shame that they didn't act.

Bradford City charge £199 for a 23 game ST, £8.65 per game. I think that is about right and £12 should be the walk up cost, in fact it is £20, for 3rd division footie, more than I recently paid to watch Malaga v Bilbao. We probably have an average L1 budget but watching a game with 12000+ others is hugely more enjoyable than watching the same with 7000 rattling around a 25k stadium.
What were the fans meant to do? These crooks had our club over a barrel from the start they were all in It together, nobody was getting a look in

the fans bought into Charles Green to easy, he played the fans very well, all the stuff with Naismth and Whittaker and all the others that never Tuped over, they were not going to walk away from our club when they thought he actually saved us...A lot of fans have woken up the crooks that now run us, i will be not be back at Ibrox until the crooks are out and we have a manager that actually knows tactics, the last 2-3 years have left me totally lost.

Some serious allegations being made , read this .

Allegations of a passing move being seen at Ibrox by Rangers players have been strongly denied today.
The incident which apparently happened during Saturday’s heroic draw with part timers Alloa Athletic has brought much speculation but video evidence has been inconclusive.
The eye witness accounts say that at least three players were involved in the incident but due to legal reasons cannot be named.
After hearing about the reports an unknown source from within the club claimed that ‘it is the type of speculation that you have to get used to at Rangers’ he went on to say, ‘naturally we would all be disappointed if this was true as it is strictly not part of our general ethos when playing.’
An expert has seen the passage of play and said ‘it certainly looks like one player played the ball near a team mate who did kick the ball onto another blue shirted individual, but the ‘move’ if that is what it was quickly broke down, and so it is hard to establish the actual facts.
Another Ibrox insider said ‘ there was in the heat of the battle a ricochet during the 2nd half that may have appeared to be a pass but the eye can play tricks on the watching public in a large crowd.’
A rangers supporters spokesman said ‘this is the kind of thing that gets fans angry, and will only strengthen the resolve of those currently boycotting the club, the last thing we need is rumours of passing football being played.’
Manager Ally McCoist has refused to comment.

the worry with McCoist is he is well in with this mob that are meant to be running us, he got a good few shares at 1p a pop, got an amazing contract and is pretty much un sackable he owns a % of the club, its a small % but he still owns a part of us, he is a poor manager and is well out his depth, we have done nothing but waste our time with him, we had a chance that not many teams get, we had a chance to re-build our game, we could have built a great youth team, when you see some of the teams that have won the SPL2 and SPL3 we should not have struggled the way we did, we look unfit, we lack tacticts, we look to sign players closer to 30 that don't need much coaching...we should be looking at youth.

A boycott would have been a good start.

That's it, they were nothing without the support, it wasn't a tinpot 10-20k club but one with 40k+ ST holders, they wielded enormous power.

All true, and I commend your personal boycott. Had fellow fans shared your conviction, I suspect you could have changed not only your own fortunes, but those of the national side in the future. Unfortunately, the majority of folk decided they didn't do walking away...

"The Crown Office will now examine the extradition treaty with Mexico and establish the legal basis for extraditing Mr Whyte unless he waives his right and agrees to the extradition."

oh yeah, I bet he'll come without a fight.

Mr Whyte will not be looking forward to spending time in any Scottish jail. He will be in great demand by Rangers fans, and I suspect he won't enjoy sharing a shower with Celtic fans either!
You've dropped your soap, Craig:whistle:
or for Old Firm supporters
'Haw, Craig yev drapped your white stuff, whit's that white stuff. eh?'

Yes, the inference is that Old Firm fans are soapdodgers:thumbsup:
