Absolutely. Plus, @PeteXXX the bread should be fried, not toasted, and the eggs should be poached, not fried... and next time you put beans on a breakfast, fry them in the bacon fat before following Hitchington's advice above.

There was someone on here who posted that their gran used to butter the toast warm so it melted and then buttered it again when it had cooled
Cold would have been better.
