My shop bought one is no more stable, I just put some bricks on the two legs that have space for them. Teams of pigeons and starlings haven't yet knocked it over, two years on.
I think you've done well to remember the design in your head, it looks very much like a shop bought one.

I was going to buy one but they were fifty quid, so I thought, hang on, I've got some wood, I can build one. So I photographically memorised the fifty quid one and then got to work.

It's hard to tell I know (cough) but the last time I did any fancy woodwork, that being defined as anything beyond a straight cut and nailing things, was pre O-Level.

This was a final pre-cursor to make sure I had the necessary skills to do the decking. I think on the strength of this I can go pro.
That's a feeder table, not a birdhouse. Very good though. :becool:

Modifications have been requested. A more overhanging roof and table supports like the feet. Apart from that, it's passed muster.

Nice, should have smaller windows though if it's meant for them to nest.
As a bird table it is perfect, you need to proof it somehow for cleaning, as their droppings could give them diseases.
I'd like one in red, please ^_^

If that's CLS, watch out when you treat it as it may warp like a warpy thing. CLS is kiln-dried and meant for internal stud-work. It'll absorb a lot of whatever you treat it with.
Just bog standard white wood. I don't know how long it'll survive but if I treat it should be OK.
