The gravy happens once it's sliced up and the roasties and peas are on the plate

What is wrong with these people who have gravy with sausages?

My mum makes a couple of extra yorkies and has them after with golden syrup.

Well, it's a similar batter as pancakes, so maybe lemon juice and castor sugar is worth a try
