Buy one then. Weekend = test rides = buy. Only you can decide which is the right bike for you
You are the same height as me but your legs are 2 inches longer than mine so I assume that my upper body is 2 inches longer than yours. My bikes have 58 cm top tubes. I just looked up the Cube's geometry and it has an effective horizontal top tube size of 56 cm so that might well suit you.

One thing to consider though, given your preference for a higher position ... you will need to have your saddle quite a bit higher than I have mine because your legs are a lot longer. That would tend to make you bend down more. The head tube on the 60 cm bike is 2 cm longer than that on the 58 cm bike so your bars would be higher. If you felt too stretched out, you could put a shorter stem on. If you wanted the bars even higher and closer, you could flip the stem as well. (I flip the stems on my bikes.)

The bars on the audax type bike i have are 39 inches at the highest point and 33 inches at their lowest. My saddle is 41 inches off the ground. I like the comfort when handlebars are fairly high. How high will the Cube's bars be i wonder?

I just checked my bikes and they have the bars and saddle the same heights as your audax bike.

I reckon you should be able to get a good fit on either a 58 cm bike or a 60 cm one by adjusting the saddle height/setback and stem length/angle/orientation/spacers.

Ideally, you would ride the 2 bikes to see which you preferred but it is a long way from Accrington to Norfolk!

I'm confused. Why Norfolk? Your inside leg is 2 inch less than mine yet we have the same saddle height preference. I've tried it at 42 inch but it didn't feel comfy.

Ah right. I don't think i'll be driving for 4 hours to Norfolk just to test drive a bike.https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=how+far+from+accrington+to+Norfolk?
That's what I was getting at!

I had a 60 cm Bianchi once. It didn't feel quite right with a longish stem, but it was ok when I replaced the stem with a shorter one.

I'd guess that the 58 cm bike would suit you except for the drop to the bars which might be too far. The drop on the 60 cm bike would be smaller but then you might be too stretched out. Either way, you might have to do some minor tweaking to get your position right.

If you are not going to ride the bikes beforehand then choose one size or the other and be prepared to do that tweaking until you are happy?

I could test ride a bike for a few miles but i don't think i'd find out if it was suitable till i'd done at least a 30 mile ride, which i don't think they'd be happy with.:okay: Riding round the block and back doesn't tell me much about a bike.

True, but if either bike was WAY too big/small then you'd probably spot that fairly quickly. The real comfort would come from fine tuning of your position.

The audax bike i mentioned has double tape on the bars.I like that chunky handlebar comfort as well as the height. It must be the comfiest bike i've ever ridden. Maybe i want the Cube Agree because of the bling affect and not for much else? I only average around 13.5 mph on a run. I don't think i'll better that at my age no matter what i ride.

I don't do that speed on most of my rides. I can go a bit quicker on the shorter rides or the less hilly ones, but normally it is more like 11-12 mph.

That nagging feeling strikes again, just before i commit myself to buying carbon fibre.
Mrs Accy isn't the most bike friendly person out there. She has a history of just chucking my bike to one side when i'm not watching(she thought i wasn't). So my indecisiveness strikes again. How about this for an alternative?

Would it be much heavier than the Agree? I'm going off what Vickster said.

"Do you want the racier agree or more sportive peloton if you take cost out of the equation? I wouldn't buy a bike on cost alone"

Maybe a comfier position and a bike i wouldn't worry about would be better?
