I've just been to a local(ish) bike shop. They have a Cube Peloton(aluminium) with Sora parts for £699. The same price as the better spec Cube Agree.

Do you want the racier agree or more sportive peloton if you take cost out of the equation? I wouldn't buy a bike on cost alone

Will there be much difference in the handlebar height of the Agree and the Peloton? I must admit, i do prefer higher bars. Look,i can't get ANOTHER aluminium bike! It has to be carbon or nothing!!:cursing: :okay:

Simply because i've never had one and my other bikes are alloy. This could be my last road bike purchase as my last true road bike lasted 16 years, so i'd like it to last nearly as long. I don't want to be sat there in that pee proof chair in the old folks home thinking why the feck didn't i buy a carbon fibre road bike.

I'm 6 1". Do you reckon a 58cm would be the best size for me? Some say Cubes are smaller than other bikes.
You are the same height as me but your legs are 2 inches longer than mine so I assume that my upper body is 2 inches longer than yours. My bikes have 58 cm top tubes. I just looked up the Cube's geometry and it has an effective horizontal top tube size of 56 cm so that might well suit you.

One thing to consider though, given your preference for a higher position ... you will need to have your saddle quite a bit higher than I have mine because your legs are a lot longer. That would tend to make you bend down more. The head tube on the 60 cm bike is 2 cm longer than that on the 58 cm bike so your bars would be higher. If you felt too stretched out, you could put a shorter stem on. If you wanted the bars even higher and closer, you could flip the stem as well. (I flip the stems on my bikes.)
