Yes, I'd love a Citroën Diane or a Dolly! There is or was a firm that made brand new electric ones a few years ago and hopefully still do, selling them for something like £45,000. I see a couple of original Dollys knocking about around here. Both driven by elderly bloke's. I always acknowledge the drivers and cars on seeing them, which seems to please the car owners!

Same here fantastic vehicles and it's what the world needs more of and in my honest opinion much better credentials than anything electric

I've always said it'd be great if those British Leyland, Datsun, Ford etc rust buckets of the 1970's and 1980's were reincarnated in a modern form, body and engine wise, and maybe partially interior wise as well. Those prices are high though. Such cars are beyond the pockets of many who like me fondly remember those cars ( albeit through rose tinred glasses😉), but if they/I had 30, 40 grand to chuck at a car, would most likely go for a car of today, not a revamped car of yesteryear! 😉

For what little mileage you do that's quite sensible - as long as you can get secure storage.

If i were to buy such a car i would rent a unit in the MOT/BMW/Audi centre across the road from me. I think there are 2 or 3 available at about £400 a month. All hypothetical of course as I begrudge paying more than my current 35 quid a year 'road tax', but if I could afford to keep a Rolls Royce on the road, I would pay for a secure unit to keep it in!
