I've got an 09 bianchi via nirone and the brakes are bianchi own brand rc 466's and not that good to be honest, my donahue has campag mirange and they are much better.

I'm thinking of upgrading and saw that ribble are offering tektro carbon r750
http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/Tektro-R750-Carbon-Brakes-Road/TEKTBRAR300000000000

anyone tried them?

Also I assume the existing rc's are 49mm drop and these would fit straight in without any faffing about.

Or is this an OTT upgrade?

Any advice etc welcome

I only know Tektro as a budget brand - didn't realise that they made proper kit. That's probably why they are on sale; most people who spend that much on brakes want the brand image to go with it!

If you really want to change, you could save a few £ and get Veloce Skeletons.

Brakes are a pretty generic mechanism aside from single/dual pivot...on the other hand, different pads will make a ton of difference.

Done! And I had a 10% discount code if paying by paypal, thanks for the heads up. I'm sure continuing with my "careful" weight loss programme I'll lose the 60g elsewhere!
