Gosh, hold the front page
It's sticky, unhealthy and expensive.
I think you need to try some different newspapers

Can we get a source please.
A standard tennis court is 78' x 27' (23.77m x 8.23m)
As far as I have been able to find out, the usual Royal Standard flown from royal residences is 18' x 9' (5.49m x 2.74m) with smaller versions for bad weather. Apparently bigger versions are used for special occasions but this would need to be nearly 4x bigger. Edit: In length and width. It would of course be nearly 16 times bigger in area.
To be fair that is a big flag

It’s big. But clearly not the size of a tennis court.
I doubt the flag pole isnt much more than 10m high.
I suspect the commentator was getting a bit carried away.
The central pediment of Buckingham Palace (the bit that flanks the waving balcony and has the flagpole on top) is 60 feet wide.View attachment 771946
it was on a commentary that I heard.. Can't remember which one, though.
For scale, if you guesstimate a person @ 6' that makes the Royal Ensign very big.
The size of the flag used depends on the importance of the event, apparently.
