Yeah I think that's right in terms of physical attacks. I'm just glad that Komodo Dragons don't roam Europe in their thousands, else we'd all be in trouble. They are huge, fast and have lethal toxins and bacteria in their mouth/teeth, and tend to bite an animal then follow it around until it dies of sepsis

Komodo dragons do not deliberately allow the prey to escape with fatal injuries but try to kill prey outright using a combination of lacerating damage and blood loss. They have been recorded as killing wild pigs within seconds and observations of Komodo dragons tracking prey for long distances are likely misinterpreted cases of prey escaping an attack before succumbing to infection.

Not on the documentary I watched. It bit a water buffalo (or large bovine type thing) and just followed it around, not wanting to risk a fatal fight with its hooves and horns, and not wanting to waste energy on a fight, so just waited until it died
