Hi I've got a tiagra 9 speed long cage but the jockey wheel is to close to the cassette I've adjusted the b screw all the way. I've got a 32 cassette on the back which is new do I need a mountain bike derailleur?

Likely to be a bent derailleur hanger - you need the right one for the bike. Have a look at

I have a Deore LX rear mech on my CX bike and had to buy a longer B screw to run a 36t cassette.

You could try this or get a rear derailleur extender link (link below but cheaper ones available on eBay;

I run a 105 long cage with a 34 rear sprocket, and it's fine. I'm guessing the geometry of Tiagra is the same as 105, so it should work.

I thought so aswell but like I said the jockey wheel cage is touching the cassette and the b screw is fully extended. Some guy told me to buy a larger b screw.

I've read that you can put the 'B' screw in backwards. Can be a bit fiddly to turn (long nose pliers) but you should only have to do it once.
