Maybe I'm just being mischievous here; you decide.
If you're really into TTs, and never use the 39t, why not ditch it and run a single chainring, saving the weight of the unused ring, the FD, the control cable and maybe fit a lighter rear brake lever, as you no longer need the indexed changing mechanism? As a bail-out gear, maybe run a slightly larger top sprocket on the cassette.
David Millar would be with you, right up until you suggest ditching the FD.

Update, LBS has done my wheel, just needed re tensioning to true, spokes were ok, he said quite a few weren't tensioned enough though.
Haven't got a hanger but that should come in tomorrow.
And we discussed my chain options, really good service, very pleased.

All done in two days, in time for my TT tomorrow, both wheels trued, new inner rear cable and rear most outer cable, new 105 rear mech, new hanger and new chain, and all set up. £106, absolutely chuffed to bits with that. First class service from my lbs. I even gave them a tenner for a drink for getting it done ASAP.
And no more cross chaining going up hills!
