I had a bracket fail where the clamping screw attaches. The whole lot came off and went in the Bridgwater and Taunton canal, sank, and went on flashing on the bottom for 2 days!

And you didn't dive in and get it out?!?! You must be one of those "loaded southerner" types!

Thanks for that link compo. I think that might be adaptable to solving what I've wanted to do for some time, which is mount a Smart below the dynamo Toplight unit in the centre of the rack

The bracket arrived today (along with a free High5 starter pack) from CRC. Not bad seeing I ordered it mid afternoon yesterday. I drilled a couple of small holes through the rack and used nuts and bolts to secure it. You could also mount a small plate behind the rack to secure the bracket, or possibly even P clips.

I am pleased with it and it is a better job than my previous bodge with the Minoura.

The inhabitants of Bridgwater may drink the water from there, but I really don't fancy voluntarily getting into it thanks. Southerner yes, loaded sadly no.
