Is £850 a reasonable price for this? What would you offer?

There was a similar thread to this 2 years ago where an RT57 was for sale for £700 and OTO.

Cheers

Oh and the seller reckons it's a 2018 model however I'm not sure they continued for that long.

That sounds a lot for a pretty old bike with rim brakes. 10 or 11 speed?
pressfit BB can be creaky in a carbon frame.
I certainly wouldn’t pay more than £700

Hi Vickster,

It's 10 speed, just added to the specs and thanks, I'm in uncharted waters with this level of bike. All my previous bikes or frames have been under £100 pieces of scrap iron!

I’d say thats expensive but there are bike shortages.
I’m not sure on second hand carbon, but give it a thorough check for signs of dropping, crash damage

I had one with SRAM force, bought it new towards the end of 2014 IIRC £1k brand new. The downtube developed a crack after about 18 months so it was replaced under warranty. It does seem a tad expensive to me, but with bikes in short supply, maybe it's the going rate

Hi Cougie

He said "Exact size of the frame is 52cm from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube". So I think might be slightly less than medium.
What’s the top tube?
Medium doesn’t really mean anything as there’s no industry standard

That's very little bike for £850 imho.

It's quite a basic frame and the 10 speed isn't top end these days. If that's worth £850 I'm revising the £350 I was going to ask for my 10 speed Ultegra Wilier Montegrappa up a bit

And it's Small, not a Medium.

Thanks! I'm very glad I came on here before making an offer, not even sure I want it now.

Maybe the OP could buy your bike

And I'm thinking it's a lot older than 2018.

The size chart is from 2011.

I've been on the mailing list from Planet X for donkeys years and can't find one mail that mentioned the RT57 since 2017 when they were selling 11speed Sram Rival for £799.
