The red one is nice. I think it may of had drop racing bars originally. Looking at the adjustable mudguard stays and the headset it looks to be a 1930's sports/racing bike. I'd love to see this cleaned up.

I'm not sure about the original fittings, it could have had either deep drop or shallows. The head-clip first came in on 'sports' bikes around 1929. The went out of fashion by early 50s. Tandems were still using them up to 1960s.

Sadly, it will probably have to be passed on!!!.

I only saved it, as I could see it had potential.

Actually I might be wrong, it may not of had drop racing bars, it probably originally had lauterwasser bars on it. I have some for sale if your interested?

Looking at the sillouette of the head-stock badge, I would guess/suggest SUN. Looking at the feature/fittings, I think late 30s or early 40s. The Sturmey Acrher 3-speed will have a date code (if original).
