The Hunters Lodge, near Priddy on the Mendips. A proper, proper pub!
I just about lived in there when I was caving every weekend, User76 - well worth hitching over from Southampton for, even when I got dropped in Wells two Friday nights in a row and had to trudge up Rookham Coombe in the dark with a rucksack full of gear.

Does Roger Dors still run it or has he retired now? I assume Ben Dors will be long dead.

The Boat at Redbrook in the Wye Valley, and (until recently, when it shut) the Cherry Tree at Tintern, which was also the village shop and Post Office. Sadly, it's empty since they were told to take their sign on the main road down.;)
